So today 3 of my 4 go back to school. YAY for education and much needed quiet time for this mama!!

Ahhh…Yes. It’s that time of the year. When Office Depot trips takes precedence over ice cream runs, and when you realize that your kid grew a few more inches and can’t fit into his favorite pair of jeans from 1st grade. While planning for our last summer family and friends excursion up in Lake Arrowhead , I decided to set up a quick mini styled shoot inspired by “school”. And fortunately for me, two of my favorite girls happened to be going on this trip. I found some really cute last minute things for the sesh, including a brand new with tags Bebe skirt for $5 at the thrift store (score!). Then I threw a bunch of my personal accessories in my suitcase along with some school supplies. When we got up to the cabin, I wrapped some books up with paper bags (which by the ways takes some legit skill), and luckily found an apple in the fruit basket that one of the families had brought. We had all spent the day at Lake Gregory, so right afterwards we rushed back to the cabin and I threw the outfits on the girls while their moms styled their hair. I was losing light so I had to tap into my super quick stylist mode and get this done with a quickness. So happy everything worked out! A special thanks to Claire, Jen, and Ar for helping me out with my last minute “vision”…lol.
no comments Team G went up to Lake Arrowhead with 4 other fam bams this past weekend. The rule was that the kids had to be unplugged. Of course my wheels were turning trying to figure out how to keep them occupied, so I put together a scavenger hunt. So glad they didn’t think it was lame and genuinely had tons of fun crossing things off their list. Here’s a few pics of the Adventure Kit I put together. Most of the items were purchased at Daiso in Irvine where almost everything is only a buck and half!
no comments I had the opportunity to shoot a fun and fabulous wedding at Temescal Gateway Park. Karla is from Florida and went to UCLA. Dan is from Illinois and went to Boston University. One day their two worlds collided during a poker game in Los Angeles, and six years later here they are tying the knot on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Isn’t it funny how life works? Congrats Mr. and Mrs. “Bird”! I wish you both many many wonderful years together!
no comments Yeah, I was never big on baby tubs. The sink has always sufficed for all four my baby boys until they were old enough to handle the big people tub. Now that Mr. C is 2, I don’t have the luxury of giving him sink baths much longer (notice how high his knees are…hahaha!). So I thought I’d milk this moment while I had a chance.
